Phrase passwords

Memorable password generator

Use a name, sentence, or phrase to create a password that feels familiar but includes mixed letters, numbers, and symbols.

How memorable passwords work

A memorable password starts with something you can recall, then changes it enough that it is not a plain word or simple sentence. PassBlend can take a phrase such as "Sarah loves coffee" and blend it with capital letters, number swaps, and symbols. The result is easier to remember than a fully random string, but stronger than reusing a real sentence.

Good phrases to use

  • Use a phrase that is personal but not public.
  • Avoid birthdays, addresses, phone numbers, and usernames.
  • Longer phrases are usually better than single words.
  • Do not reuse the same phrase password on multiple accounts.

When to choose phrase mode

Phrase mode is useful when you need a password you can type manually, such as a device login, Wi-Fi password, or account you use often. For accounts stored in a password manager, a fully random password is usually the stronger choice.

Private

PassBlend runs in your browser. Your phrase and generated password are not sent to a server.

Readable

The generated password keeps recognizable pieces from your phrase so it is easier to remember.

Flexible

You can change length, symbols, numbers, and character options from the main generator.

Memorable password FAQ

Is a memorable password safe?

It can be safe when it is long, unique, and includes variation. A plain quote, pet name, or public phrase is not enough.

Should I use the same phrase everywhere?

No. Every important account should have a unique password. Reusing one password makes every account weaker if one site is breached.
